Events in 2020 so far: January: Bowers Museum private tour of Arthur Beaumont exhibit and lunch Events in 2019: April: A tour of two spectacular collections in West Los Angeles along with lunch at the Getty Museum restaurant. June: Our annual meeting was held in Irvine, and featured a lecture on art forgery by the esteemed Jean Stern. December: Holiday Party at the Boseker residence Events in 2018: January: A visit to the Bente & Gerald Buck Museum in Laguna Beach May 5th: The Katherine and Paul Norris collection at Orange County Fine Art Storage, with lunch at Anepalco May 29th: A trip to Escondido and Del Mar, California, to see an historic adobe villa owned by India and Gregg Minor: then to our members', Susand and Keith Colestock's residence, where we enjoyed a catered lunch; then to the Sandy and Bram Dijkstra collection. June: Annual Meeting and dinner at Five Crowns, with a lecture on the Gardena High School Collection by Susan Anderson. July: The Irvine Museum: Drawing on the Past: Works on Paper special opening for HCC Members December: Holiday Newport Boat Parade and Fireworks party at Nadine & Bob Hall's Lido Isle home. Events in 2017: February: A Weekend in Palm Desert The weekend included a welcome reception at the Heather James Gallery, a visit to several local collections, and a farewell breakfast at a private home which had a fine collection of California art. A great time was had by all. May: We visited the home and wonderful collection of Bill Selman in Laguna Beach, as well as toured the beautiful home and collection of Simon Chiu in Newport Beach. June: Our Annual Meeting was held at Five Crowns resaurant in Corona del Mar, accompanied by a lecture by Scot Levitt, Director of Fine Arts at Bonham's in Los Angeles. July: Pasadena, The Golden Twenties: Portraits and Figure Paintings by Joseph Kleitsch at the Pasadena Museum of California Art, with a personal tour by the exhibit curator, Pat Trenton, and the Huntington Library, Art Collections and Botanical Gardens, lunch and a tour of the American Wing at the Huntington Library and Gardens. September: 4 Days in Santa Fe and Taos, New Mexico The trip included a tour of the Rowe collection, Wheelwright Museum, Vitoria Addison Gallery, O'Keeffe Museum, Zaplin Lampert Gallery, Morningstar Gallery, Matteucci Gallery, Taos Art Museum and Harwood Museum, and much more. December: Our Annual Holiday Party at Pat and Bill Podlich's Christmas Wonderland home. Events in 2016: In March, we visited the Alexander and Waite collections in Pasadena, and enjoyed a fine lunch at the Green Street Tavern. In June, we held our Annual Meeting at the Newport Harbor Yacht Club, which included a lecture by noted curator and author, Gordon McClelland. In October, we enjoyed lunch and the private collection at the home of Beverly and Ray Redfern. Later, we were fortunate to have a private tour of the Phillips Collection at Orange County Museum of Art, led by museum director, Todd Smith. Our annual Holiday party in December was hosted by Nadine and Bob Hall along the route of the Newport Boat Parade. Thank you, Nadine and Bob!
